“We need to remember that we are created creative and can invent new
scenarios as frequently as they are needed”.    Maya Angelou

What are the differences you, the DSP, make in the lives of those you support?

1)      You see people with disabilities as whole people- complete human beings.

2)      You presume people are competent.

3)      You are curious about the possibilities of the person you support – the why.

4)      You keep on showing up.

5)      You value and pursue relationships with the people you support.

6)      You make a difference in peoples lives when we make them shine.

7)      You make a difference when we really listen to those we support.

8)      We promote choice and freedom (sometimes incidental/continuous.

9)      You make a difference when “you” believe in what we do.

10) You bring parts of who you are in to the work you do.
