Title:
David Pitonyak: The Importance of Belonging
David Pitonyak, Ph. D. has spent a career addressing the needs of people who engage in difficult behaviors. He is interested in positive approaches to difficult behaviors. He believes that difficult behaviors are “messages” which can tell us important things about a person and his or her surroundings. This session will focus on his work and insights he has gained a long the way in supporting people with difficult behaviors. What this session won’t focus on is attacking a person’s behavior, which is typically ineffective and often disrespectful. Come learn some new ways of looking at “behaviors.”
