Description: Using the Internet as a Resource; and QA with DSPs for DSPs
This session will share viable resources to support DSPs in the work that they do. Beth will explore web sites which disseminates information related to or useful in promoting the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities. In addition, experienced DSPs will share their insights in how to develop and deliver supports. A question and answer session will follow to allow for unique discussion related to promising person-centered practices and innovations. Don’t miss this very special training!

DSPs from SPEAK agencies will be participate on a panel to share their wisdom.
Beth is the Director of Training and Leadership with The Council and the Training and Leadership Coordinator for SPEAK. Beth began her career working as a direct support professional in a state institution pre” institutional” reform followed by over 30 years of experience working with people with disabilities and their families, direct support professionals and other professional and management level employees. Before coming to the CMR, Beth worked as a CEO to several non-profits that provided services and supports to people with disabilities in Ohio and Kentucky.
