Partners of SPEAK
The Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD) is a private non-profit association of families and friends of persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, has been advocating for persons with developmental disabilities in Jefferson County since 1952. The Council is a member agency of Metro United Way. Additional funding sources include: private, state, and federal grants; self-generated and program fees; foundation gifts and grants; and donations from the general public. CDD Core programs include Citizen Advocacy, Parent Outreach, Self-Advocacy, Leadership and Training, and Governmental Affairs and SPEAK.
Seven Counties Services, Inc. a private, not-for-profit corporation, is the state-designated regional behavioral health and developmental services organization for Louisville and surrounding counties (Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble) in Kentucky. The mission of Seven Counties is to build healthy communities by helping individuals and families who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, addictions and abuse realize their potential. Through our mission, we envision communities where those we serve live satisfying, productive and valued lives. Seven Counties is fully accredited by the Joint Commission (formerly the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations). It is nationally recognized for its innovative and effective programming. The organization is the largest non-hospital, not-for-profit and one of the top thirty employers in the Louisville metro area. More than 1,400 clinical and administrative staff members and 400 volunteers create and deliver quality services to more than 32,000 persons each year. Zoom Group is a not for profit Metro United Way agency who provides job placement and adult day programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Zoom Group’s participants are given the opportunity to take part in recreational activities, pursue vocational interests and enhance communication abilities in small group settings. In addition they offer, StudioWorks, a program specialized for those individuals who are artistically inclined and want to further their skills in an educational working art studio setting.
The Mattingly Center is a private, non-profit agency, whose mission is to provide the highest quality of structured services for adults with severe developmental disabilities. We serve adults 21 years of age and older. The Mattingly Center strives to provide the best possible available services by facilitating each participant’s continued education, personal development, and inclusion in, and access to the community. We are committed to demonstrating a long-term commitment to our participants through our highly accredited Adult Day Community Habilitation program, through our Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services, our Community Living Support services, and through our Support Coordination services.
Cedar Lake Residence, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that provides an array of community-based residential options, an adult day health program, with additional services and supports designed to meet the individual needs of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cedar Lake, Inc. a system of related not-for-profit corporations which are formally-affiliated social ministry organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, was founded in 1970 and began providing services in 1974. Cedar Lake operates exclusively in Kentucky, providing the bulk of its services in Jefferson, Oldham and Henry counties.
Cedar Lake Lodge and Park Place are intermediate care facilities serving those with severe and profound intellectual and developmental disabilities, fragile medical conditions and behavioral challenges located in LaGrange, KY and in New Castle, KY. Both The Lodge and Park Place have an emphasis on serving individuals with the most severe and profound intellectual disabilities, those with medically complex diagnoses, dementia and behavioral challenges. Both provide the highest level of residential care and services offered by Cedar Lake. Residents generally have severe or profound mental retardation, have significant health issues, and require an intensive active treatment program designed to meet their individual needs.
Exceptional Teens and Adults is an organization for teenagers and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The adult program offers adult day training, and adult day healthcare. These structured programs have activities for continued learning, recreation, community outings and health monitoring. ETA Teen Center Inc. is a non-profit program for teenagers and school-age young adults with or without disabilities. The Teen Center operates before and after school, during the summer and whenever school is not in session.
Community Living, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency whose unique mission has remained constant through the years. The organization has assumed life-long responsibility for children and adults with mental retardation in areas of housing, education, employment, and socialization. Community Living serves 75 individuals with developmental disabilities with support and assistance to meet the daily needs of individuals by: 1) recruiting, establishing and supporting family homes and staffed residences; 2) mediating and resolving personal crises and daily living problems' and 3) recruiting and facilitating long-term voluntary relationships with other people in the community.
Dreams With Wings is a not for profit agency providing housing and other support services for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in the community. Our mission is to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities by empowering them to recognize their strengths, contribute to their community and pursue their dreams. A variety of services are provided including residential, day program, therapies, adult literacy, health and wellness and leisure outreach. Services are provided in the metropolitan Louisville area.
Harbor House of Louisville, Inc. was founded as a nonprofit agency in 1992 by parents of individuals with mental disabilities who desired more service options for their adult children. The mission of Harbor House is to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to lead fulfilled and productive lives. The many services provided reflect the effort to achieve the mission.
Options Unlimited Inc is a private, non-profit agency that has been part of the metro community for over 25 years. The mission of Options is to provide a day service program for adults with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities which: 1) encourages each individual to grow and develop according to his/her own capacity; 2) fosters family stability; 3) promotes community involvement and social growth; and 4) encourages each individual to offer his/her unique gifts and talents to the community. Our vision is to build a new spirit of acceptance within the community. Our ultimate goal is to encourage relationships which benefit everyone.
Apple Patch is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that has been a part of the Crestwood Community for 20 years. The mission of Apple Patch is to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through an array of support services that assists each person in achieving their highest potential and lead independent and productive lives. The agencies vision is to continue to advance the ideal that all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities be allowed the opportunity to personally succeed through the utilization of cutting edge support services that exceed industry standards.
LifeSkills, Inc. is a non-profit agency serving the ten county BRADD region in South Central Kentucky. Our mission is to support people who experience mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse as they build meaningful and independent lives. LifeSkills daily operations are centered on the core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Trust/Respect, Care/ Compassion, and Ownership/ Accountability. The Developmental Services Division primarily offers supports through the SCL waiver, Michelle P waiver, First Steps POE, and State General Funds program. We are dedicated to making a difference "one person at a time" as we support people to live full and meaningful lives in their communities.
Tri- Generations LLC is a provider of services and supports to individuals with cognitive and/or developmental disabilities, providing day support, supported employment, residential, therapies, respite, community living and other supports. Tri-Generations strives for controlled growth in each of its geographic locations to remain connected and committed to in the lives of those we support. Through proven history, experience, reputation and a strong values base, Tri-Generations customizes services & supports to fulfill each individual’s unique journey in life, recognizing ever-changing needs.
